Master Bath & Vanity- Before |
Before: Builder-grade stock cabinets (Boo! Hiss! While stock cabinetry has its place, we're huge fans of custom cabinetry!) in this master bathroom that were simply no longer, well, making the grade.
Master Bath & Vanity- After |
After: Beautifully stained hardwood Maple cabinetry, custom-made for the space, and custom-designed for the clients and the way they live. While the couple still wanted two sinks, the makeup-seating area in the center was an obsolete area that could be made into practical, and much-needed, storage. The tall vaulted ceilings allowed for bringing additional storage up with the towers at either end, which along with the valance above, also created a nice visual frame of the vanity wall. And with a large window allowing in plenty of natural light, there was an excellent opportunity to warm the space up with a stained wood finish and granite countertops with nice warm tones. Don't be scared to consider a stained wood finish over a white or painted finish, especially if you get a lot of natural light. The furniture-style bases of the cabinetry, with arches at the toekicks, put the finishing touches on the vanity to create that tailored, custom-made look that we so cherish in our custom cabinetry!
